evaluation Mt. Auburn views evaluations as fundamentally a learning exercise. At Mt. Auburn, we help our clients to identify and assess anticipated program outcomes, to better understand those elements of its programs that are more or less effective, and to refine its activities to better meet its intended outcomes. To accomplish these goals, Mt. Auburn emphasizes the following in our approach:
Mt. Auburn’s evaluation work has included both process and outcome evaluations. The firm has completed several community level evaluations in addition to numerous multi-site state and national evaluations. Our clients include the U.S. Economic Development Administration, several states, and foundations. representative projects Evaluation of the Fund for Our Economic Future, Northeast Ohio. Mt. Auburn has been retained as the external evaluator of the Fund for Our Economic Future, a groundbreaking effort by Northeast Ohio’s philanthropic community to seed the economic transformation of the region. Sixty-eight philanthropic organizations across a ten-county region have pooled over $30 million to fund region-wide economic development initiatives, organize a regional dialogue to promote regional thinking and action, and develop of a set of benchmarks to track the region’s economic progress. The Fund has engaged Mt. Auburn over its three-year first phase to evaluate Fund processes and outcomes with an eye toward using the evaluation findings to guide the Fund’s operations and inform decisions about whether and how to proceed with a second phase.
