Auburn Associates across ten library systems in 2022, Emily shared valuable lessons from case study sites. New Report - Centering Community Voice

New report focuses on “centering community voice.” As centering community voice continues to emerge as an essential element of collaborative efforts, Mt. Auburn Associates recently released a report highlighting key lessons from the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston's Working Places initiative to underscore promising practices. This report draws on Mt. Auburn's previous evaluation research and insights from interviews with stakeholders involved in the Working Places initiative across New England to better understand what it takes to effectively center residents as leaders of collaborative work. Check out the new report (PDF) from The California Endowment to see what it has learned from more than a decade of impact investing and aligned grantmaking focused on building an equitable, inclusive, and just community investment ecosystem. Mt. Auburn Associates and CSB Philanthropic Solutions conducted a retrospective scan of The Endowment's work culminating in this report. This report highlights the four principles that guide The Endowment's approach to impact investing:

Devon Winey, a principal at MAA and a graduate of the 2017 Emergent Learning (EL) training, recently collaborated with fellow EL colleagues to develop the recently released Guide to the Principles of Emergent Learning. Alison Gold interviewed Devon for the chapter titled “Asking Powerful Questions.” Devon, who recognizes the value of bringing an emergent learning lens to her work at the intersection of strategy and evaluation, enjoyed reflecting on the role of powerful questions in her work.
