Michael Kane of Michael Kane Consulting has over 30 years of experience in economic and workforce development, sector organizing, and capacity-building throughout the U.S. Clients include the federal government, state governments, regional and local governments, national foundations, community foundations, CDCs, and labor unions.

Michael has participated in the preparation of approximately 20 economic development strategic plans for large and smaller-sized municipalities, counties, metropolitan and suburban regions, rural towns, and neighborhoods. In addition, he has organized a diverse set of economic sectors, including precision machining, specialty foods, plastics, financial services, furniture manufacturing, arts, and tourism, and developed numerous programs in the area of workforce development on behalf of workforce investment boards, community colleges, employer associations, community and national foundations, and groups of workforce organizations. Michael has also provided technical assistance and training to more than a dozen organizations and institutions.

Michael holds a Master of Education from Boston University.
