Aaliyah joined Mt. Auburn in July 2024, bringing sharp analytical skills and a fresh perspective to our team. With a background in social research, she’s passionate about using data and dialogue to tackle tough social issues—especially where research meets community development.

At Mt. Auburn, Aaliyah is already making her mark on projects like the Boston Fed’s Working Communities Challenge, the Dallas Fed’s Advance Together initiative, and Northeast Indiana’s creative economy strategy. Whether she’s designing surveys, leading evaluation interviews, or diving deep into research, her work helps ground our projects in real community insights.

A 2024 graduate of Brown University with a B.S. in Social Analysis and Research, Aaliyah explored issues of incarceration, criminal justice, and racial disparities as a Community-Based Learning Fellow. She also sharpened her facilitation skills with the Community Dialogue Project, leading conversations on leadership, conflict resolution, and community development.

When she’s not immersed in research, you can usually find Aaliyah with a novel in hand (the cheesier the better), binging a good period drama, or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
