Miriam is a researcher and project manager who likes asking thoughtful questions and listening closely to the people most affected by the issues she studies. She brings an equity lens to her work and is interested in understanding root causes and helping community perspectives shape the work. Her experience includes projects focused on children’s savings accounts, educator diversity, and language access. She has designed and conducted surveys, focus groups, and interviews; used community-engaged research approaches; and conducted policy analysis. Miriam is especially drawn to qualitative research and to how stories and data can work together to build a fuller understanding of complex issues.

Miriam has a BA in Sociology from Brandeis University, as well as a Master of Public Policy and Social Impact MBA from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis. Her studies focused on racial and gender equity, and her broader interests include economic justice, reproductive justice, and voting rights.

Outside of work, Miriam enjoys reading, crocheting, and playing games.
